Attic conversion - Prague, Czech Republic
Realization of this attic conversion started in August 2009 and was finished in December 2009. The house was extended for one more floor with two appartments. Built-up area of the whole floor is 217,40 m2 and usable area is 164,17 m2. Both new appartments have wooden floors with floor heating REHAU. All windows are equipped with outside blinds. Each appartment also has a 7,5 m2 terrace.
AWIK construction system is suitable for realization of attic conversions for many reasons. First of all it is light and does not influence the house from statical point of view. Another important fact is fast realization. AWIK construction system is low-energy system and that is why saves you costs for energies each year.

Low-energy living in Hostin, Czech Republic
Company AWIK together with company MEI come with alternative solutions for heating sources and sources for water heating in newly-developing area Úvaly-Hostín.
AWIK is currently working on a research aimed at technologies and processes for passive houses. Company MEI is also participating at this project as well as ČVUT Prague (Czech Technical University). The goal of this project is to design and build model passive house, which will be using the most modern construction technologies and at the same time it will be architectonically and construction flexible according to the wishes of customers.
House has traditional square ground plan. Longer side is oriented to the south-west and uses passive solar technology - glass ground floor receives sunshine. The most cool northern walls can stay without windows. Rooms are oriented to the yard with teracce with electronic sun-blind.
House can be built as detached or semi-detached, One of the advantages of this house is flexible lay out.
House can be entered from terrace, through main entrance or through french windows. Groundfloor is divided to the living room area and kitchen area. Technical room (operational centre of the house) is situated behind the kitchen. Stairs lead to the 1st floor where there are three bedrooms including bathrooms. House can be extended for garage with storage space.

August 2009 - handover of the finished building

We realized 24 low-energy houses in Mesice near Prague. It is possible to visit this project after previous arrangement with our Sales Department.

Multiple dwelling - Písek, Czech Republic
From statical reasons it was necessary to realize this building as a combination of bricks and prefabricated system AWIK. First of all the brick ground floor was built and also brick stairs (from fire safety reasons). The following three floors (including roof) were built using prefabricated system AWIK.
On the ground floor there is reception, laundry, dining room and canteen, offices, bathroom, store, boiler room and 6 appartments. There are 12 more appartments on each floor. They consist of two rooms, kitchen, WC with shower corner and sink.
Total built -up are is 700 m2 and total usable area is 2350 m2.
The realization of building itself took less than three months as you can see below.
